Jennings and Orchard Receive ALF Exemplary Leader Award
Each year the American Leadership Forum – Mountain Valley Chapter honors a Sacramento-region leader who represents the cornerstone of ALF. The award recipient thinks and works regionally, values diversity, and is a successful collaborative leader. ALF bestowed this honor on two ProjectAttain! board members, Cassandra H.B. Jennings, CEO of St. Hope, and Arlen Orchard, chair of the the board of directors of the California Mobility Center, at this year’s ceremony. The annual dinner attracts the region’s decision- and opinion-makers to celebrate the award recipient’s accomplishments.
The ALF- Mountain Valley Chapter works to improve the social, economic, and political fabric of the Greater Sacramento region through shared commitment to collaborative action. It’s mission is to UNITE boundary-crossing leaders from a diversity of sectors throughout the Greater Sacramento region; STRENGTHEN their leadership capacity through deepening relationships and transformative experiences; and SERVE the community by working collaboratively to make significant positive contributions.
ProjectAttain! reaps the benefits of these two forward-thinking and equity-minded leaders as it works to close California’s talent deficit of highly skilled workers required to meet California’s current workforce needs by:
Improving equity and access to opportunity for under-credentialed adults
Boosting financial and social mobility through educational attainment
Driving multi-generational educational attainment and economic impact for families
Supporting healthier communities by increasing educational attainment
Elevating under-credentialed adults as a key part of regional education priorities.
Congratulations Cassandra and Arlen!
